Job Title: Senior ColdFusion Developer

Our work stands out because of our personalized, consultative approach and our commitment to long-term client success. We are seeking a  Senior ColdFusion Developer  to play a leadership role in our technical team and help modernize and scale our solutions.

Position Overview

This is not a junior role. We are looking for a seasoned ColdFusion expert who can independently lead technical architecture, enhance and maintain complex codebases, and drive innovation across client projects. You’ll work closely with decision-makers and have the autonomy to recommend and implement new approaches while mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of custom ColdFusion web applications

• Optimize existing proprietary systems for performance, security, and scalability

• Architect and implement integrations with external APIs and back-end systems

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions

• Maintain technical documentation and provide guidance on code structure and development best practices

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

• Participate in strategic planning and modernization efforts for the company’s technology stack

• Experienced full-stack developer with strong ColdFusion expertise

• Equally adept at managing large-scale, long-term projects and handling smaller, detail-oriented tasks.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional ColdFusion development experience (Lucee or Adobe CF)

• Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and modern front-end practices
• Proficient in Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Proficient in Model/View/Controller (MVC) framework concepts

• Strong experience with SQL (MySQL, SQL Server) and database best practices

• Experience developing and maintaining proprietary or complex codebases

• Familiarity with RESTful API integration and session management

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage deadlines independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with jQuery
• Experience working with Mura or Masa CMS platforms
• Experience working with nonprofit or association clients

• Exposure to back-office systems, CRMs, or membership platforms

• Previous experience mentoring or leading small development teams
